About Bardic Quest
Bardic Quest is a D&D actual play show built on trained performance. The core cast has professional acting backgrounds, and it shows — character work, pacing, and a level of craft closer to collaborative theatre than a home game filmed for YouTube. Alongside the actual play, the channel runs Role-Play Tips — videos that help players take a character from the numbers on a sheet to something they can actually play at the table — plus a Patreon-exclusive Q&A series called Insight Check and a Talk Show covering industry news and game design. Outside the actual play itself, most of what Bardic Quest makes is aimed at the same thing: helping people tell better stories at their own D&D tables.
Why Book Us
GMing Craft & Storytelling
Wayne and Callum both run D&D professionally — pacing, NPC work, worldbuilding, and what actually makes a table fun. The channel's own Role-Play Tips series is built entirely around helping other players do the same.
Actual Play Production
How a live session becomes a released episode: Wayne directs it as DM and Executive Producer, Annina as Assistant Producer, James on editing, and Isaac on music and sound.
Industry Commentary
The Talk Show covers WotC/Hasbro news and where the hobby's heading; the cast has informed opinions and doesn't always agree with each other on camera.
Running a Paid GM Business
Wayne's StartPlaying numbers — 750+ games, 5.0 rating, a current Top GM ranking, four years on the platform — make him a practical voice on running D&D as an income stream.
The Team
Wayne Ingram
Executive Producer / Professional DMRunning D&D for around 25 years, with thousands of hours at the table. Founded Bardic Quest before going pro on StartPlaying — 750+ sessions hosted, a 5.0 rating across 25+ reviews, and a current Top GM ranking. Best placed to talk GMing craft, worldbuilding, and running tabletop RPGs as a business.
Annina Kaski
Assistant Producer / Cast MemberPlays Saga in Season 1 and Illyria in Season 2, and produces alongside acting. Also a professional games demonstrator for Asmodee UK, working conventions several times a year. Good for character work and the view from the industry's convention floor.
James Bryan
Editor / Cast MemberEdits every episode of Bardic Quest — filler cuts, pacing, the structure that turns a three-hour session into a watchable episode — and plays Sergei in Season 1 and Maggie in Season 2. The craft of cutting actual play footage, not just performing it.
Isaac Finch
Music Director / Cast MemberScores and sound-designs the show, and played Thorik in Season 1. Good for a conversation about building atmosphere through music and sound in a medium that's mostly people talking round a table.
Callum Robertson
Cast Member / Professional DMPlayed Marvellus in Season 1 and plays Dugg'r in Season 2, and runs his own paid D&D tables outside the show. Talks well on GMing from both sides of the screen — performer and person running the game.
By the Numbers
Credibility
The cast and crew are trained actors, not hobbyists reading lines, and it shows in the character work and pacing. Wayne has around 25 years and thousands of hours of DMing experience, backed by a 5.0 rating across 25+ reviews, 750+ games hosted on StartPlaying, and a current Top GM ranking on the platform. Annina works conventions for Asmodee UK as a professional games demonstrator several times a year.
