It’s official… we’re publicly getting our geek on! We’re incredibly excited to announce the launch of a new show named ‘Bardic Quest’. This weekly YouTube show will feature British-trained, professional actors going “full geek” as they tell improvised fantastical stories through the medium of the “the world’s greatest role playing game”, Dungeons & Dragons.

Dungeons & Dragons (or D&D) presents a robust system for group storytelling. In fact, this particular characteristic has inspired a whole new genre of streaming entertainment which has boomed in the last four to five years! actor Wayne Ingram, the Executive producer of Bardic Quest says that “Due to this improvised story-telling aspect, I have, for several years now, strongly believed that table-top role-playing games such as D&D are a great outlet and hobby for professional actors” and he has written about his opinion on this recently on his website. “I am delighted to have been able to bring together a cast of actors who share a similar sentiment.”

The show itself is one which Wayne has been working on quietly for some time and one which he hopes will provide entertainment for a wide audience – from those who are curious about the fantasy genre all the way through to those who are well-versed in D&D. For those in the middle ground, who are familiar with Dungeon & Dragons but have never had the privilege to play, he hopes that this will be an excellent “on-boarding” as we showcase the wealth of published source materials from both the creators of D&D and others from the fan community.

Unlike many other shows of this genre, our “sessions” will be edited into episodes approximately 30-45 minutes in length. In the busy modern world, we appreciate that carving 3-4 hours a week to watch folks play D&D is a lot to ask, and so we hope that these shorter episodes will ease the pressure for those who wish to keep up with the show.

Bardic Quest, which will be available on both YouTube and as a podcast (available on all good podcast apps), will premiere its first episode on Thursday 30th September 2021. In the meantime, do subscribe to our YouTube channel and also give our social media profiles a follow (@BardicQuest on InstagramTwitter & Facebook) in order to keep up with news and cast announcements.

We’re incredibly excited for you to join us in a fun filled, fantastical, imagination fuelled world! Adventure awaits…
